Classic Documentary Featured at the International Film Festival
The third Hainan Island International Film Festival was held in Sanya from December 5 to December 12, 2020. The classic documentary "The Endless Summer" was screened at 8:00 p.m. on December 7 in Sanya.
The Endless Summer, a classic surfing documentary in the 1960s, tells the story of two young people from California, Robert August, and Mike Hynson, who travel around the world in order to find the perfect wave in their minds. The film covers the coasts of Australia, Hawaii, Senegal, Ghana, Nigeria, and South Africa. The film embodies the beauty of nature and the collision of different cultures. It also fully demonstrates the lifestyle and spiritual connotation of surfing. It speaks to that time's free-spirited generation and even set the tone for many future surfing travel-themed movies.
AKASO Debuts at International Film Festival
In 2019, AKASO partnered with The Endless Summer, using V50 Pro as a co-branded product. In the Third International Film Festival on December 7, 2020, AKASO V50 Pro-The Endless Summer Special Version was presented on the beach.
AKASO & The Persistence of Filmmakers
AKASO has always stuck to the spirit of "GO BEYOND", matching the film maker's obsession with the theme. The filmmaker's dedication to a film is like AKASO's "GO BEYOND", which inspires people to keep constantly surpassing themselves. Just like the director of Endless Summer, Bruce Brown is undoubtedly one of the important soul figures in the history of surfing. It is precise because of his spirit that such a classic documentary remains.
