  • What are the memory card requirements for this camera?
    Please use brand name memory cards that meet these requirements:
    1. Use memory cards that meet U3 grade.
    2. To keep your memory card in good condition, please format the memory card in the camera before using it. (Reformatting will delete all your data, so be sure to back up your photos and videos).
    3. Support memory card capacity maximum of 512GB.
    4. The FAT32 format memory card will stop recording when the storage of each file exceeds 4GB and start to record again on a new file.
  • How to format the SD card in the camera?
    To keep your microSD card in good condition, reformat it on a regular basis. Reformatting erases all of your content, so be sure to offload your photos and videos first.
    To reformat your card, Swipe down to general settings, click Preferences - General settings-Formatting-Format SD card-Confirm/Cancel.
  • How do I connect the camera WiFi with the smartphone?
    Please download and install the AKASO GO app on the App Store or Google Play first. The AKASO GO app lets you control your camera remotely using a smartphone. Features include camera control, live preview, playback, download, and settings. Wifi is enabled by default only during the activation process when the user starts up and will be turned off by default in other processes. If there is no connection within 5 minutes, it will be automatically turned off. If you do not connect within 5 minutes, the APP will be automatically disconnected. At this time, you can manually open it.
    1. Turn on Wifi in one of the two ways: ① Wifi icon on the quick menu ② Wireless connection under the Settings
    2. Connect Wifi in one of the two ways:
    ① Swipe down to general settings, click Preferences - Wireless Connection, turn on Wireless Connection, then go to Camera Information, screen display: Wifi SSID and Wifi Password. Then select “Brave 8_xxxx” in the Wifi interface on your phone.
    ② Swipe down to general settings and click the WiFi icon. Select “Add device” in AKASO GO APP, find Brave8, and click on it. Select C...ct - Join, and then click Connect.
    3. Control the camera by APP. You can record, shoot, playback, load, delete and edit.
    4. After connecting the app, press the Mode button to turn off the camera Wifi, exit the Connecting interface, and the connection with the app will also be disconnected.
  • How to find the firmware version?
    Press swipe down to general settings, tap Preferences - General settings-About, and you can check the camera information.
  • What is the SuperSmooth?
    You can turn on it in the video settings-Image Stabilization-SuperSmooth, Enhanced Image Stabilization will cut the visual area. After this function is enabled on the camera, the video needs to be exported from the APP to experience.

  • Switch between the front and rear screens
    Long press the M button to switch, you cannot turn on the front and rear screens at the same time. You cannot switch between the screens while the video is recording.
    The rear screen is a 2-inch touchable color screen and the front screen is for display only and does not support touch screen operation.
  • Does it support HDMI?
    HDMI cannot be supported because the camera does not have an HDMI port.
