AKASO Brave 4 is one of the best action cameras you can purchase. It is ideal for different niches, including action sports and vlogging.

It has several incredible features yet; it sells at a highly competitive price. Therefore, if you’re looking for an entry-level action camera that comes in handy and affordable, this is a good choice for you.

If you’re still contemplating whether to buy this camera or not, you may want to consider some of its incredible features, which you’ll learn in this review.

Design

The AKASO Brave 4 features a black rectangular shape design with a comfortable hand-gripping side texture. This beautiful camera weighs 0,35 Lbs. (160 grams); thus, it is portable and easy to move around.

Its design is analogous to GoPro cameras which is a great one for camera lovers as the accessories for both gadgets can be used interchangeably.

The camera is made of quality materials, explaining its high durability. Therefore, it is a perfect choice for those who need a camera that’ll last longer. You can use a waterproof protection case with this device. If you do, you can use this camera anywhere, including places with high humidity, without fearing any damage caused by water.

On the backside of AKASO Brave 4, there are a 2-inch IPS main screen. On the front side, you’ll find a small LCD screen with no touchscreen features. Also, on the front side you’ll find information about recording and the battery status. Therefore, with such a feature, you’ll easily detect when your battery is about to go off and when your camera isn’t recording.

AKASO Brave 4 is a button-based gadget; hence, it has more buttons on it than the touch screen cameras. Some of the buttons on this device include the shutter button, navigation button, and power button.

Size

The AKASO Brave 4 has Dimensions of 59.5 x 41.8 x 30.3 mm, making it very portable and easy to use on the go by wearing it around the neck or anywhere as you desire. The ultra-slim design makes it easy to slot the device in a pocket.

Image Quality

One significant reason to use a camera like this is to take quality pictures while focusing on the smallest detail. AKASO Brave 4’s 20MP camera sensor with an adjustable lens will provide you the clear picture you desire.

It features a 5x digital zoom to make you maintain a closer focus of all objects and to capture them in very great detail with zero glitches.

Video Quality

AKASO Brave 4, being one of few gadgets competing with GoPro, has a good reputation as a new entry gadget. It features a 1080p recording resolution; thus, it produces a high-quality image.

Also, it gives you a whole new experience with its ultra-wide angle, which Is why it is ideal for capturing sporting activities.

The video mode features diving mode, motion detection mode, and time-lapse mode, thus, you can opt for any suitable option. It is perfect for moto-vlogging since its sensor maintains high-quality images even during adverse conditions.

Easy-to-use

The ease of using a gadget is its beauty. AKASO Brave 4 is a button-based gadget, and it has lots of buttons with names inscribed on them. Therefore, the device is easy to use. Unlike smart cameras with complicated features, it is easier to work with this beautiful analog camera.

Battery Life

AKASO Brave 4 comes with two batteries of 1050mAH capacity. Its battery lasts for a reasonable duration, meaning you don’t have to charge at all times. One of AKASO’s batteries will provide one and half hours of 1080p video recording and just an hour of 4k video recording.

Unfortunately, this gadget doesn’t come with a specialized camera charger; thus, you have to rely on a USB cable to charge the battery within a short period.

Stabilization

Cameras are only considered worthy when they don’t distort the image taken with them. AKASO Brave 4 has a built-in electronic image stabilization (EIS) to prevent shakes.

The action camera comes with a built-in gyroscope assist that enables you to shoot well-detailed and smooth videos.

App

AKASO Brave 4 has an app you can readily install for free. The app is known as the AKASO GO APP. With it, you can share your precious moments with your loved ones. This app is user-friendly and allows you to edit your pictures and videos easily.

On the app, you can compete to win a prize – by completing the daily task and earning coins used to exchange products like wristwatches, Micro SD cards, etc. The AKASO GO APP also allows you to remote control your camera.

Memory card for Brave 4

AKASO Brave 4 supports class 10 max 64GB Micro SD card; you can use a Micro SD card above or below 64GB, as well. Such space allows you to capture a significant number of pictures and videos.

Connecting Brave 4 To The Computer

Connecting your action camera to a computer is easy; all you need is

- Turn on AKASO Brave 4 camera.

- Connect it to your personal computer with a USB cable and select "personal computer camera."

- The option you selected will reflect on your camera. It can also be used as a Webcam for your pc.

AKASO Brave 4 vs. V50 Pro, which should I choose?

Both cameras are excellent choices; however, V50 Pro produces a better image quality than AKASO Brave 4.

The V50 Pro tops the table when it comes to stability. It handles shakes better than AKASO Brave 4. If you want a brighter color for your image, AKASO Brave 4 is a better option. However, V50 Pro is good for individuals who prefer natural images.

The field of view of AKASO Brave 4 is adjustable up to 70°. On the other hand, V50 Pro covers a narrow-angle, up to 140°.

They both have quality reachable batteries, but the V50 Pro battery will last longer.

AKASO Brave 4 vs. EK7000, which is better?

AKASO Brave 4 is slightly close to ek7000 in terms of mode of operation and features, but AKASO Brave 4 has better electronic image stabilization (EIS) than ek7000.

With 2 1050mAh batteries that can operate for one and half hours each, AKASO Brave 4 has a better battery option than ek7000

If you need a more quality image, you should opt for AKASO Brave 4. It has a 20MP pixel, making it a better option than ek7000.

If you require a motion picture camera that’s easy to adjust, AKASO Brave 4 is a better choice. It allows you to use different wide angles, including 70°, 110°, 140°, and 170°. It is, therefore, an excellent choice to take close-up videos and photos.

AKASO Brave 4 is a better buy because of the improved electronic image stabilization (EIS) and good image quality.
