What to Check First When AKASO 360 Export Fails, Video Quality Looks Poor, or Cannot Play
You've finished editing your AKASO 360 footage and are ready to export.
Sometimes, the export may get stuck, fail before completion, look less clear than expected, or create a video that cannot be opened properly. In most cases, the issue is related to phone storage, app settings, export options, or playback compatibility.
This guide walks you through the most common checks before trying again.
If Export Fails
Common symptoms
- Export stays at 0%.
- Export stops halfway.
- Export finishes, but no video file is created.
Check These First
1. Check your phone storage
Make sure your phone has enough available storage before exporting.
We recommend keeping at least 5GB of free space for export processing.
2. Confirm the footage is fully transferred
During export, the AKASO 360 App mainly uses your phone storage and phone processing performance.
Before checking your microSD card, first confirm that the footage has been completely transferred to your phone. Only check the original SD card files if you suspect the source footage itself is damaged.
3. Keep the AKASO 360 App open
During export, keep the AKASO 360 App running in the foreground.
Do not lock your phone screen or switch to other apps. Interrupting the app may cause the export to fail.
4. Avoid other high-load tasks
Avoid screen recording, large background apps, or other high-performance tasks while exporting.
If your phone is close to the minimum performance requirement, these tasks may reduce available processing power and affect export stability.
5. Check app permissions
Make sure the AKASO 360 App has permission to access your photos and storage.
Without these permissions, the app may not be able to save the exported video.
6. Update the AKASO 360 App
Make sure you are using the latest version of the AKASO 360 App.
Updates may include export improvements and bug fixes.
7. Restart and try again
If export still fails, restart your phone, open the AKASO 360 App again, and try exporting once more.
If the issue continues, try exporting a shorter clip first to check whether the problem is related to a specific video.
If Exported Video Quality Looks Poor
Common symptoms
- Exported video looks worse than the preview.
- Video becomes blurry after uploading to Instagram or TikTok.
- The final video does not look as clear as expected.
Check These First
1. Check your original recording quality
Export cannot add details that were not captured during recording.
Make sure your original footage was recorded at the resolution you need.
2. Check export resolution
Confirm that your export resolution matches your needs.
Available options may include 1080p, 4K, or original resolution. Avoid exporting at a lower resolution if you need higher image quality.
3. Check bitrate settings
Make sure the export bitrate is not set to a low-quality option.
A higher bitrate helps preserve more image detail, especially for fast movement, outdoor scenes, and detailed environments.
4. Avoid excessive reframing or zooming
360 footage gives you flexibility to choose different angles after shooting.
However, if you zoom in too much or enlarge the image significantly, some areas may appear softer.
5. Check the original footage
If the original recording already has limited detail, exporting at a higher setting cannot improve the final quality.
6. Consider platform compression
Platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook may compress uploaded videos.
For the best results, export the highest-quality version and upload the original exported file whenever possible.
If Exported Video Cannot Be Played
Common symptoms
- Video cannot be opened.
- Black screen appears.
- Playback is interrupted or freezes.
Check These First
1. Try another video player
Try opening the exported video with your phone's default video player or VLC Media Player.
Some players may not support all video formats.
2. Check HEVC / H.265 support
Some exported videos use HEVC (H.265) encoding.
Make sure your phone, computer, or playback software supports HEVC playback. Updating your device system may also improve compatibility.
3. Test the video on a computer
Try opening the exported video on a computer.
If the video plays normally on another device, the export file is usually fine and the issue is likely related to playback compatibility.
4. Confirm the export completed successfully
If the export process was interrupted, the video file may be incomplete.
Before checking the SD card, first confirm that the export completed successfully, the file size looks normal, and the AKASO 360 App was not interrupted.
Only check the original footage files if you suspect the source material is damaged.
5. Export again
If the video still cannot play, delete the failed export, export the clip again, and try playing the new file.
Important Notes
- Do not lock your phone screen or leave the AKASO 360 App during export.
- Export issues are usually related to phone storage, app status, export settings, or playback compatibility.
- If your computer can play the exported video normally, the export file itself is usually not the problem.
