07/28/2026

What to Check First If Your Phone Can't Connect to AKASO 360

Connecting your phone to AKASO 360 allows you to preview footage, transfer files, and control your camera remotely through the AKASO 360 App.

If the app cannot connect to your camera, the issue is usually related to your phone settings, app permissions, camera connection status, or wireless environment.

Before contacting AKASO Support, check the following items first.

When Should You Use This Guide?

This guide is helpful if:

  • The AKASO 360 App cannot find your camera.
  • Your phone fails to connect to AKASO 360.
  • The connection process stops during setup.
  • The app disconnects after connecting.

Check These First

1. Turn On Wi-Fi and Bluetooth

Make sure your mobile device has both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enabled.

These connections are required for the AKASO 360 App to discover and communicate with your camera.

2. Check Device Compatibility

Confirm that your phone meets the compatibility requirements for the AKASO 360 App.

Using an unsupported device may affect connection performance.

3. Update the AKASO 360 App

Make sure you are using the latest version of the AKASO 360 App.

App updates may include connection improvements and compatibility fixes.

4. Update Camera Firmware

Check that your AKASO 360 camera is running the latest firmware version.

5. Turn On the Camera Hotspot

Make sure the camera's Wi-Fi hotspot is enabled before connecting.

6. Connect Through the AKASO 360 App

Open the AKASO 360 App:

  1. Tap the Device Connection icon.
  2. Follow the instructions shown in the app.
  3. Complete the connection process.

7. Restart and Try Again

If the connection still fails:

  • Restart the AKASO 360 App.
  • Restart your phone.
  • Try connecting again.

If the issue continues after multiple attempts, contact AKASO Support for further assistance.

Check App Permissions

Depending on your phone system, the AKASO 360 App requires different permissions to establish a connection.

Additional Things to Check

Android Network Switching Settings

Some Android devices include features such as:

  • Smart Network Switch
  • Automatically switch to mobile data
  • Similar network optimization features

Because the AKASO 360 camera Wi-Fi does not provide internet access, your phone may automatically switch back to mobile data and interrupt the connection.

If this happens, temporarily disable these features and try connecting again.

Is AKASO 360 Already Connected to Another Device?

AKASO 360 can only connect with one mobile device at a time.

If your camera is already connected to another phone or tablet, your current device may not be able to connect.

You can check the connection status through the connection indicator on the preview screen.

To connect a new device:

  1. Disconnect the camera from the previous phone or tablet.
  2. Turn off the previous device's connection to the camera Wi-Fi.
  3. Connect again using the new device.

Camera Wi-Fi Does Not Provide Internet Access

The AKASO 360 camera Wi-Fi is designed only for camera functions, including:

  • Live Preview
  • File Transfer
  • Remote Control

It does not provide internet access.

Camera Controls After Connecting to the App

When AKASO 360 is connected to the AKASO 360 App, some camera controls become unavailable because the app is controlling the camera connection.

When you exit the AKASO 360 App, the Wi-Fi connection will disconnect automatically.
